Effective August 5, 2026 · covers the getchamfer.com website and the Chamfer app
We like short privacy policies, so here's ours in plain English.
If you join the waitlist or subscribe to the blog, we collect the email address you type in — along with which page you signed up from and when. That's the only information this site asks you for. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) also keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to run and secure the service.
Your email is used to send you your Chamfer invite, occasional product updates, and — if you subscribed on the blog — the newsletter you asked for. We don't sell your information, we don't share it with advertisers, and we won't add you to lists you didn't sign up for.
Signups are stored securely in our database (hosted by Supabase). Only the Chamfer team can access the list.
Email hello@getchamfer.com from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it — usually within a few days, no questions asked. Every email we send also includes a way to opt out.
This site doesn't set tracking cookies or run third-party analytics.
The app does more than the website, so there's a little more to say. This same policy is also available inside the app.
What we collect. Chamfer requires an account. We store the email address you sign up with to sign you in and to keep your history across devices — there's no password, we email you a one-time code instead. As you use the app, we store your activity: tasks you view and complete, guided-session progress, your "did this work?" answers and comments, your questions to the AI coach and its responses, and photos you submit to identify a problem. If you set up the maintenance calendar, we store the home details you provide (like your home's age and equipment) and your upkeep history, used to schedule reminders and show your home health. We also collect app usage events (screens viewed, tasks completed) to understand what's working. We don't sell your data.
AI processing. Chat questions and problem photos are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses and identify what's in the photo. Don't include sensitive personal information in chat messages or photos.
Where it lives. App data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase) in the United States, protected by row-level security — readable only by you and the service itself.
Deleting your account. Delete your account and data anytime from the app's Account screen, or without the app at getchamfer.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your account, email, chats, photos, saved guides, and home details. We keep only de-identified repair records — which guide was attempted and whether it worked — that can no longer be linked to you.
Children. Chamfer is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? hello@getchamfer.com.
